James "Rabbit" McMillen Obituary

James "Rabbit" G. McMillen, 68, of Johnstown, died on Easter Sunday, March 31, 2024 at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center with his loving family by his side.

Born on April 10, 1955 in Johnstown, son of Edward McMillen Sr. and Betty (Dereta).

Preceded in death by his parents, brothers Edward Jr., and Michael, sister Clare Tillis, and father-in-law Bernard Fatula.

Survived by his loving and devoted wife Karen (Fatula), loving children Ashley (James Yarina), Megan (Ben Ressler), Matthew (Amber Grabill), James G. McMillen Jr. (Rachel), and Jill McMillen (John Wyckoff); grandchildren Hudson, Braxton and Brinley Yarina, Levon Ressler, Grayson Grabill, Adalyn McMillen, Haley and Julia McMillen; mother-in-law Barbara Fatula; brothers-in-law James Tillis, and Keith Fatula; sisters-in-law Cindy McMillen, and Kim Migut (Ed); special niece Tryce Cabaj; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Rabbit was a graduate of Greater Johnstown High School and was formerly employed at Bethlehem Steel and Johnstown Wire Technologies. He coached many sports teams including GJYL and AAABA. He was a former Johnstown City Councilman and was currently serving on the Johnstown School Board. He was an avid Pittsburgh sports fan and he enjoyed being in the company of his grandchildren.

Friends received from 2-7 PM on Thursday, April 4, 2024 at Frank Duca Funeral Home, Westmont Chapel, 1622 Menoher Blvd. Johnstown PA 15905. Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday at St. Nicholas Serbian Orthodox, 1001 St. Clair Road. Rev. Presbyter Dragan Vukovic. Interment, St. Nicholas Serbian church cemetery.
