Janet L Swanhart

Janet L. Swanhart , 84, of Johnstown, passed away peacefully on October 29, 2025 at Arbutus Park Manor.

Born on September 24, 1941 in St. Michael, PA, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Anna (McKotch) Ivock. 

Janet was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Raymond Swanhart, her parents, and six sisters.

She is survived by her son, Anthony (Jackie) Ivock; four grandchildren, Maggie, Victoria, Spencer, and Blake; and her brother, Joseph (Diane) Ivock. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins who will cherish her memory.

Janet retired from the former Lee Hospital and Dr. John Walker’s Family Dental Practice. She was a devoted member of St. John Gualbert Cathedral and an active participant in the church’s Service Group. Her deep faith and kindness touched everyone she met, and she found joy in helping others and spending time with those she loved most.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated 1:30 pm on Tuesday November 11, 2025  at St. John Gualbert Cathedral, Very Rev. Matthew Baum.

Janet will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
