Joanne Marie Macri, a loving mother and grandma, entered into her eternal home on July 14, 2024 at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center. Joanne, 77, was born in Johnstown on October 23, 1946, the daughter of James B. and Catherine F. (Cannone) Aveni.
Preceded in death by devoted husband Joseph Anthony Macri and her parents.
Survived by children Lisa Leis (David) of Johnstown; Nichola Serafin (David) of Royersford, PA; Joseph A. Jr of Johnstown; Christopher Macri of Johnstown; 11 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; sister Kathleen Haney (Patrick).
Joanne was a proud graduate of Johnstown High School Class of 1964 and went to Nursing School. She dedicated her life to fulfilling the roles of daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend. She was a baking wizard with a heart full of love for creating the most divine Italian cookies adored by all. She also loved to read, sew, and being the best Mama Macri.

Friends and family will meet for a Funeral Mass on Tuesday, July 23, 2024 at 10:00 AM at St. Patrick Catholic Church. Fr. Matthew Baum.
Interment if you wish to attend, St Anthony Cemetery, Geistown on Thursday, July 25, 2024 at 9:30 AM
