John Lee Obituary

John M. Lee,  73, of Upper Yoder, passed away in Pittsburgh on February 21, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was born May 29,1951 in Johnstown PA . John was the son of Edwin and Stella (Flack) Lee. Preceded in death by his parents, brothers Thomas and Edward.

Survived by his loving wife, Claudia (Droz) and children: Shane Lee married to Kelsey, Ryan "Butch" Lee married to Leslie, and Tamra married to Jared Campagna, loving grandchildren: Karina, John,  Jacob, Zakary, Max, Van, Mia, and Brooks, brothers James (Cathy), David (Lauren), and Rick, also numerous nieces and nephews and many friends.

John graduated from Johnstown High School in 1969, and graduated from Carnegie Mellon University with a degree in Chemical Engineering. He was dedicated to early mornings at the YMCA, where he had built many friendships. 

He founded Marquise Mining Corporation and was Vice President of Bentley Development, working closely with President, Bill Stefan. He dedicated many hours to his success, but always found time for his family, having a huge positive impact on each and every one of them. He was an avid hunter traveling to many places around the world, not only for elk meat for his family, but also to find his prize mounts.

Friends received Wednesday from 2 to 6 PM at Frank Duca Funeral Home, Westmont Chapel , 1622 Menoher Blvd 15905. 

A celebration of his life will begin at 6:30 PM .

Private interment at Grandview Cemetery.
