John worked for Carmelo’s Hair Salon, Angelitto’s Hair Salon and then entered into a  partnership. On January 1, 1990, John and Kathy bought the business and named it Salon Vizions. It is located in the Westwood Shopping area.  He became a master of his trade by working closely with great artists. He did platform artistry work under Paul Mitchell. He also continued his education by attending the International Beauty Shows in New York City, and other trade shows in Florida and Las Vegas. He also brought in high-level artists to train staff over the years on a regular basis.

John has worked behind the chair for over 40 years and have employed many people over the years. He loved working at the salon and thought the world of his staff. They were his family. He always gave them credit for the wonderful work they did and for making the salon a success. He always enjoyed and greatly appreciated his many customers, many of whom became his lifelong friends.

John was extremely close with his children and had a wonderful relationship with both. John, an avid fisherman, enjoyed many fishing trips with Philip. John and Philip both cherished the time together. John enjoyed being part of Philip’s life with activities such as the charity hockey games and the camaraderie that it brought.
