Joseph G Kuzmyak

Joseph G. Kuzmyak, 85 of Lower Yoder Twp., passed away suddenly on November 9th, 2025 in Johnstown PA.

He was born November 6, 1940 in Johnstown. Son of Joseph and Margaret (Volscko) Kuzmyak.

Preceded in death by his parents, son Gregg, and grandson Joshua.

Survived by loving wife of 64 years Ellen (Skubic), loving and devoted daughter Robin married to Andrew Schrock, granddaughter Melissa Jo, and special granddaughter Bella Kirksey, brothers Ronald married to Sharon, Alan married to Kathy, and Richard Kuzmyak.

He was a 1958 Graduate of Greater Johnstown High School. He then began his longtime career at Bethlehem Steel Co. and as Supervisor for Freight Car America. Joe was an avid golfer and a member of the Bottoms Up Golf League, and President of the Russian Carpathian Club. He was a Pittsburgh Steelers Fan. Joe was a generous donor to the West Hills Fire and Police Departments. He loved his Church and was an active member there. Joe was well respected, but also had a great sense of humor. Most of all he loved his family, and was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather and brother.

Friends received from 10:00 AM to 1:30 PM on Thursday November 13, 2025 at Frank Duca Funeral Home, Westmont Chapel, 1622 Menoher Blvd. Panachida will be begin at 1:30 PM.

Funeral Service will follow at 2:30 PM at Christ the Saviour Cathedral, Johnstown PA. , the Very Rev. Fr. Robert A. Buczak.

Interment Christ the Saviour Cemetery, Benshoff Hill.
