Joseph Luther Labarko Jr.

Joseph "Joe" Luther Labarko Jr., 75, of Johnstown, went home with the Lord on March 7, 2023. Born on October 24, 1947, in Johnstown, son of the late Lavina (Rolley) and Joseph Labarko Sr. 

Survived by sisters, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-great niece, whom he loved and was proud of.
Joe loved our Lord, his country, his family, and his friends. 

He served in the United States Army, attended Ferndale High School, and worked at US Steel.  He was known as Coach Joe by his baseball players, he sponsored and coached teams in Johnstown Little League for about thirty years.  At the end of the season, he would treat the teams to a trip to Idlewild Park and a picnic. His dogs were the love of his life and took them to Florida with him for the winter. Joe enjoyed his friends at Gallinas, and especially talking to John Gallina, and Our Family Restaurant in New Florence.

Friends and family will be received from 3-7 PM on Friday, March 10, 2023, at Frank Duca Funeral Home, Westmont Chapel, 1622 Menoher Blvd. Johnstown PA 15905. Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday at the Funeral Home, Rev. D.L. Griffiths and Rev. Theodore Tisinger.  Interment to follow at Richland Cemetery, with Military Ritual conducted by VFW POST 155.
