Joseph Stroscio Obituary

Joseph S. Stroscio "Pappap", 79, of Johnstown, died on May 2, 2021, at home. Born on March 27, 1942 in Johnstown, son of Samuel and Angelina (Taromina) Stroscio.

Preceded in death by his parents, wife Monica, and brother Donald Stroscio.

Survived by his loving children Monica J. Stroscio, of Johnstown; Anthony married to Sarah (Bailey), of Jacksonville, FL; Michael partner Colleen, of Jacksonville, NC; and Kristina wife of Richard Henry, of Durham, NC; grandchildren Kaitlyn, Isaac, Helena, Angelina, Giovanni, and Massiano; brother Samuel Stroscio married to Janet (Callahan), and sister Nancy wife of Patrick Haney.

Joseph graduated from Johnstown High School and entered the U.S. Air Force where he served in Vietnam. He was a former employee of Bethlehem Steel Security and Fire department, Standford Mining, Lech's Cafe, and Triax Davis. He was a spoiler of grandchildren, both 2-legged and 4-legged, a spaghetti master, an expert at fixing all things that were broken, and the first person to call for advice, to chat, or to vent.

Friends and family are invited to attend a Funeral Service on Thursday, May 6, 2021 at 5:30 PM at Frank Duca Funeral Home, East Hills Chapel and Crematory, 404 Walters Avenue, Johnstown, PA 15904 (near PA Drivers Center).

On Saturday, May 8, 2021 at 10:00 AM Joseph will be buried next to his loving wife at Dunmyer Cemetery with military honors conducted by Conemaugh Valley Marine Corp. League, Detachment 287.
