Linda Jo Grell

Linda Jo Grell, 72, of Westmont, went to be with the Lord on April 2, 2020 at Westmont Woods.  She was born June 29, 1947 in Clarksburg West Virginia, daughter of Joseph W and Amelda Louise Fawley.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and loving husband Robert.

She is survived by loving daughters Kirsten, wife of Michael Karas, of Maryland; and Heather, wife of Joseph Nibert, of Johnstown; grandchildren Corrinne and Daniel Karas; Alexis, Gabrielle, Ella and Joseph Nibert.

Linda was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was strong in her Catholic faith and loved the Lord. She was a graduate of Westmont Hilltop high school and earned a Bachelor’s of Science in nursing at the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown. She worked as an ICU nurse for 20 years at Mercy Hospital in Johnstown. She was one of the most creative, caring and giving people. There was always room for one more friend in her home. Linda loved to sew, quilt and paint; but her biggest passions were her beautiful vegetable garden and hummingbirds. She enjoyed spending time with her six grandchildren; they brought her great joy in her later years. Linda was a beautiful soul who will be greatly missed.  She brought a little crazy and a lot of love to everyone she touched.

Due to the recent pandemic, all funeral services will be private. Private interment will be held at Grandview Cemetery.
