M. Colleen Reffner, 77, of Johnstown, died on July 3, 2024. Born on October 11, 1946 in Johnstown, daughter of J. Donald Griffith and Mary Jane (Veil).
Preceded in death by her parents, brothers J.D. Griffith, George J. Griffith, and Jerry S. Griffith.
Survived by loving daughter Tara Reffner, and sister M. Veil Griffith.
Colleen graduated from Westmont Hilltop High School. She received her Masters in Education from PITT, and worked on her Doctorate in Early Childhood Education at Penn State and was ABD status. She taught at Southmont School, then Goucher St. Elementary, and retired from Westmont Hilltop Elementary School.
She was an avid swimmer, swimming 4 miles a day at Sunnehanna and the YMCA, loved animals, and rescuing horses.
All arrangements are private for Colleen.
