Margaret Gaboda

Margaret Gaboda, 86, of Mineral Point, passed away January 29, 2022. She was born August 24, 1935 in Johnstown, Pa.

Preceded in death by parents John Hazie and Mary (Poukish) Hazie, her loving husband of 63 years, Joseph, siblings George, Andrew, Mary, Anna, Helen, John and Charles. Also daughter-in-law Marguerite (Kovacs) Gaboda.

Survived by children, Margaret married to Gary Knecht and Joseph Jr; grandchildren, Tiffanie (Knecht) married to Ric Katenhusen and Heather (Knecht) married to Matt LaFollette;

Margaret worked as a waitress at Morgan’s restaurant in Mundy’s Corner where she met her future husband Joseph, she also worked at Harry’s Pizza in Nanty Glo.

Margaret was one of Jehovah's Witnesses and was a member of the East Hills Congregation. She dedicated her life to serving our creator Jehovah on July 8, 1957

She spent many years in full time volunteer service sharing hope and comfort from the Bible.

Margaret held a firm hope in Jesus’ promise of the resurrection (John 5: 21, 28 ,29) and looked forward to being united with loved ones again.

Margaret enjoyed gardening, cooking, ceramics, eating out, vacationing, crocheting but most of all spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and servant of Jehovah God.
