Margaret A. Grasso

Margaret A. Grasso, age 90, Upper Yoder, died July 5, 2021 in Johnstown. Born May 4, 1931, in Johnstown, daughter of Anthony and Mary Furnary. 

Preceded in death by her husband, Nick, her parents; brother, Dr. James S. Furnary; sister in law, Constance Tiracorda and brothers-in-law Roland Tiracorda, Louis Grasso and Joseph Grasso.  Survived by sons, James (Marjorie), Chagrin Falls, OH, and Robert (Lee Ann), Wilmington, DE.; sister-in- law, Clare Furnary; five grandchildren, Michael (Christina); Thomas (fiancé, Melanie); Kaitlyn Walsh (Joseph); Christopher (Emily) and Caroline Grasso and two great grandchildren, Natalie and Vienna Grasso (with a third great-grandchild soon to arrive). 

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a 1949 graduate of Greater Johnstown High School and very active in the JHS Alumni Association. She was an employee at Dale Bank and Sunnehanna Country Club. She loved traveling, playing cards with her friends, a good show/concert and the Steelers. She was a great baker, especially desserts. 

Friends received from 5:00 PM to 7:30 PM Friday, July 9, 2021 at Frank Duca Funeral Home, Westmont Chapel, 1622 Menoher Blvd. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, July 10, 2021 at St. Clare of Assisi Church, formerly St. Anthony Church, Maple Avenue. Fr. George Gulash. Interment, St. Anthony Cemetery, Geistown.  

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Resident Activity Fund at McCullough Place, 500 Cheney Oaks Drive, Johnstown PA 15905 in memory of  Margaret Grasso.
