Marilyn E. (Goebert) Orris

Marilyn E. (Goebert) Orris, 93, of Oakland, passed away January 27, 2025 at Arbutus Park Manor. She was born November 1, 1931 in Johnstown, daughter of George and Bessie (Strayer) Goebert.

Preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 68 years, Glen D. Orris (2023); and her brother, Richard G. Goebert.

Survived by her daughters: Marcia Stumpo, wife of Frank, Hatfield, PA; and Christine, wife of Robert Miller, Thurmont, MD; her grandchildren: Nicholas (Brittany) Stumpo, Katlyn (Tim) Maloney, Carlene Stumpo, Emmalee Miller and Joshua Miller; her great-grandchildren: Nora, Matteo and Nico Maloney; her sister in law, Joan Conner; and her brother in law, Robert Statler.

Marilyn was a graduate of Richland High School. She was a lifelong member of Homestead Avenue United Methodist Church. She was active in many groups, including the Arbutus Park Auxiliary; and Order of the Eastern Star, Anna L. Windolf Chapter #495. She enjoyed her time as a resident at Arbutus Park the last 5 years. Marilyn was a wonderful wife, homemaker, mom, grandmother, and great grandmother, and will be greatly missed.

Friends will be received 11 AM - 12 Noon , Saturday February 1, 2025 at the Frank Duca Funeral Home, EAST HILLS CHAPEL, 404 Walters Avenue, Johnstown.

A Funeral Service will be held immediately following at 12:00 Noon Saturday at the Funeral Home.

Entombment at Richland Mausoleum.
