Mark Robert Bero

Mark Robert Bero, 56, native of Johnstown, died peacefully at home on September 21, 2020 after a long illness in Irwin, PA.  Born August 20, 1964, in Johnstown, son of Robert A. and Margaret (Berkebile) Bero.

Preceded in death by his father Robert, father and mother-in-law Patrick and Etheldreda Huber.

Survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Diane (Huber) Bero, mother, Margaret Bero, brother, Andy married to Joni (Atkinson), and sister, Judy married to Bob Sliko, aunt, Joyce Hohman, sisters-in-law, Patty Rosol (Brian) and Karen Steighner, nephews Bobby and Matt Sliko, many other nieces, nephews, cousins, and his faithful companion Hoover.

Mark was a 1982 graduate of Conemaugh Valley High School and received his Bachelor of Science degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. He met his wife while working together at a camp for handicap children in Indiana PA. Mark founded his own computer business "Triangle P.C. Depot" in Durham NC.

Family and friends received from 10:00 AM until 11:30 AM on Friday, September 25, 2020 at the Frank Duca Funeral Home, Westmont Chapel, 1622 Menoher Blvd. Johnstown PA 15905. Funeral Mass will follow at 12 Noon at St. Clement Parish. Rev. William Rosenbaum. Interment, St. Mary's Cemetery in Munhall PA.

Social distancing and facial coverings required.

Mark will always be remembered for his strength during his lifelong battle with Friedreich's Ataxia. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Friedreich's Ataxia Research Alliance at curefa.org in memory of Mark.
