Martha A. McLoota

Martha A. McLoota, 80, of Upper Yoder, passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on October 24, 2019 at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center. Born February 9, 1939 in Johnstown, daughter of Jacob C. and Sally B. (Atty) George.

Preceded in death by her parents, loving husband Fredric, grandson Jacob McLoota, brothers George Agypt, Robert George, and Billy George.

Survived by sons Timothy, of Johnstown; Chris married to Kim, of Ocean City, MD; and Fred married to Melissa, of Edwards CO; grandchildren Nick, Ali (fiancé  Jeremy), Zach, Will, and Matt; brother Richard C. George married to Cheryl; and sister Sue George.

Martha was a 1957 graduate of Johnstown High School. She raised her family for 20 years then worked as an administrative assistant for Westmont Hilltop School District. After retirement, she enjoyed traveling with her husband, visiting her children and grandchildren. She will be remembered as the anchor of her family. Both Martha and her husband Fred were devoted parents, grandparents, and dedicated a great portion of their lives to their church.

Friends received 1 to 3 PM and 5 to 7 PM Friday, November 1, 2019 at the Frank Duca Funeral Home, Westmont Chapel, 1622 Menoher Blvd. Johnstown PA 15905, where Trisagion Prayers of Mercy will be sung at 6:00 PM.

Trisagion Prayers of Mercy will be sung at 9:00 AM on Saturday, at the Funeral Home, with Funeral Service to follow at St. Mary Antiochian Orthodox Church, 111 Alberta Ave. Very Rev. Father Donald E. Shadid. Interment, Grandview Cemetery.
