Martha Ann LaBuda

Martha Ann LaBuda, 83, of Lower Yoder, went to be with the Lord on June 11, 2020 at home. Born April 18, 1937 in Johnstown, daughter of Bernard Catherine (King) McGilvery.

Preceded in death by her parents, loving husband Bernard, who passed in 2019, brother Robert McGilvery and his wife Lena, and sister Dorothy Slonka and husband Edward.

Survived by daughter Rebecca LaBuda of Virginia and David LaBuda married to Janice Blough-LaBuda of Maryland, granddaughters Annasophia Hindrichs and Sara LaBuda. Also nieces and nephews. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Martha Ann was a 1956 graduate of Greater Johnstown High School. She enjoyed ceramics at the church. She worked at admissions at Mercy Hospital and then as a secretary for Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend who will be sadly missed.

She was a longtime member of St. Francis of Assisi Church, where Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 16, 2020 at 10:00 AM. Franciscan Friars OFM. Interment, St. Francis Cemetery.

Friends received from 2-4 and 5-7 PM on Monday, June 15, 2020 at the Frank Duca Funeral Home, Westmont Chapel, 1622 Menoher Blvd.

Social distancing protocols and safety precautions are in effect.
