Mary Ann DiBuono (Koenig), 83, of Johnstown, died on April 25, 2021 at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center. Born on May 11, 1937 in Johnstown, daughter of Henry and Ottilia (Bittmann) Koenig.
Preceded in death by her parents, loving husband Anthony, who died on April 17, 2021, sister Rita Mayercsik, brother-in-law Paul Mayercsik, brother Richard Koenig, sister-in-law Patricia Koenig, niece Bernadine Razga, father, and mother-in-law Rosario and Julia DiBuono, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Ross and Dorothy DiBuono, Ron DiBuono, Mary Agnes and John Felton. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Survived by loving children Anthony R. DiBuono and Jill DiBuono; grandchildren Patrick J. and Catherine Van Slyke; sister-in-law, Lois DiBuono. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Mary Ann was a 1955 graduate of the former Greater Johnstown Catholic High School, now Bishop McCort Catholic High School. She retired as an Administrative Assistant from Laurel Urology Associates, previously employed by Spence, Custer, Wolf and Rose Law Office; Johnstown Water Company; and Johnstown Jets Hockey. Prior to marriage, Mary Ann was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. After her matrimonial union with Anthony, Mary Ann became a lifetime member of St. Clare of Assisi Parish, formerly St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Woodvale. Mary Ann was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend who will be sadly missed. She was a dedicated daughter of her faith, God and the Blessed Mother, Mary. She was a gentle caregiver of her family and friends, always putting others' needs before her own. Her selfless love and kindness will live on in her children, grandchildren, family, and friends.
Private viewing, as requested by family. Family and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass on Friday, May 7, 2021 at 11:00 AM at St. Clare of Assisi Parish, Fr. John J. Slovikovski. Entombment, Grandview Mausoleum.
