Mary K. Wilks

Mary K.“Kathy” Wilks, 75, of Geistown, passed peacefully at home surrounded by family on February 15, 2022. Born on August 12, 1946 in Phillipsburg PA, daughter of Richard and Frances (Zizzo) Greenawalt. Preceded in death by her parents. Survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Robert A. Wilks, loving children Danielle wife of Jason Lazurick, Michael married to Tammy (Hanyok), and Matthew and his wife Rachel (King), and her beloved grandchildren, who knew her as Nana/Nina, Kaiden, Anya, Michael, Sean, Giovanni, and Donnie. Also survived by her sister Diane wife of Robert Kaspick, and brother-in-law Benjamin Wilks, her nieces and nephews, and many loving friends.  
 
Mary was a 1964 graduate of Moshannon Valley High School, and a 1965 graduate of Bellefonte Nursing School. She worked for many years as an LPN at Bellefonte Hospital. She was an avid Penn State Football Fan, enjoying the home games with her husband, a member of the Looper's Wives Club, a former member of Curves and Courthouse Racquetball Club. Mary loved spending time with her friends, shopping and having lunch, and she was her grandkids number one fan, attending their sporting events and activities over the years.

Mary was also a member of St. Anne Catholic Church, 533 Woodland Avenue, where a Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, February 21, 2022 at 11:00 AM. Fr. Bernard Karmanocky, OFM. 

Friends received from 5-8 PM on Sunday at the Frank Duca Funeral Home, East Hills Chapel and Crematory, 404 Walters Avenue, Johnstown PA 15904. Interment, Richland Cemetery.
