Nancy L. Howard (Bollington) McCloskey

Nancy L. Howard (Bollington) McCloskey, of Tire Hill, died on November 2, 2019.  Born October 16, 1929 in Clymer PA, daughter of John and Isabella (McTaggart) Bollington.

Preceded in death by her parents, husband Lawrence McCloskey, son William (Bill) Howard, grandson Jason Howard, Brother John Bollington, sons-in-law Robert Beckel, Richard Partsch and Charles (Bud) Nagle.

Survived by her loving children Debbie Howard, Jody Howard (Aleta), and Jon Howard (Courtney); step-daughters Carol Partsch and Sharon Beckel; grandchildren David Howard (Valerie), Justin Nagle (Kelly), Aaron Howard (Stephanie), Seth Howard (Jenna), Jenna Coover (Gary), Lee Howard-Ginther (Thomas), Jonathan Howard and Robert Howard. Krissy Jackson (Tom), Matthew (Amanda) Partsch, Mandi Partsch Zwick (Mark) and Sean Beckel. Also survived by Sister Patricia Hodgkin's, daughter-in-law Glenda Howard-Lamothe and 13 great-grandchildren.

Nancy retired from Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center, where she worked as a LPN in both the emergency room and the Family Medical Center. Nancy loved a spirited game of double pinochle with her family and bingo.  She enjoyed visiting with her grandkids. She was known as the “Great-One” to the great-grandchildren.  She loved to travel with Debbie and Larry on many trips and her favorite place was Aruba.  

The family would like to thank Drs. Massoud and Maharajh for their excellent care and compassion while treating Nancy, presently and over the years.  We would also like to thank the staff at Conemaugh, Good Sam Bldg. Floor 5 for their outstanding care and compassion.  We cannot commend them enough for the care they provided to Nancy and all the family members.

We thank Arbutus Park Manor, in particular Lisa, Carol, Megan, Kayla, Mary Jo and Robbie, among many others. We would also like to thank the activities team and Pastor Hollis.

Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday at St. Andrew Catholic Church. Fr. Angelo Patti, Fr. Peter Crowe Pastor.

In lieu of flowers, Nancy would ask you to send contributions made payable to the Londonderry High School, for the William Howard Scholarship Fund.  Scholarships have been given annually since 2006 to students from the Londonderry High School Special Education Department where Bill Howard (son) taught.
