Nancy Louise Scaletta

Nancy Louise Scaletta, 79, of Johnstown, died August 13, 2025 in Johnstown. She was born in Portage, Pennsylvania on September 30, 1945, the daughter of John and Mary (Olsick) Biernatt.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Frank Scaletta; brother, John Olsick; and sister Debbie Waite.

Nancy is survived by her daughter Patricia married to Brad Wertz (Maryland); her sisters, Betty Lidenberg married to the late Walt Lindenberg, Maryann Alfaro married to Joe Alfaro, Sharon Gossar, and Janet Kemp married to the late Ernest Kemp, her brothers; George Biernatt and Mike Biernatt married to Patty Biernatt; and her nieces and nephews.  A special thank you to her niece, Brenda Hazelwood who was extremely close and loving to her aunt.

She retired as CNA and was dedicated to caring for the elderly.  She loved volunteering at St. Vincent De Paul, spending time with family and friends, and was known for her wonderful baked goods.  She was a devoted Catholic and member of Saint John Gualbert Cathedral.

At the request of Nancy, all arrangements were private.  Private interment at Grandview Cemetery.
