Nunzio J. Johncola Jr.

Nunzio J. Johncola Jr., 82, of Johnstown, died January 30, 2020 at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center. Born December 15, 1937 in Johnstown, son of Nunzio and Catherine (Caeti) Johncola.

Preceded in death by his parents, wife of 62 years Agnes "Cookie" Johncola, who died May 2019, children Nunzio, Joseph, and Carol Johncola, and siblings Samuel, Christine Barber, Katie Barber, Anna Degregorio, Rosemary Miller, and Joanne Delusa.

Survived by his loving daughter Karen and her fiancee Howard Blair, his two loving grandsons Antonio Johncola and Gianni Blair, sister Frances Custer wife of Louis, brother in law Robert Delusa. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and in-laws.

Nunzio had a heart of gold. He had a tremendous amount of love for his family and would do anything for anyone. He loved watching Old Western cowboy movies, fishing, hunting, and was an excellent gardener. Nunzio worked as a heavy equipment operator for many years at Merlo Construction, which he enjoyed. Nunzio was a beloved man and had a hearty laugh. He will be sadly missed by his family.

Friends received from 2-7 PM on Monday, February 3, 2020 at the Frank Duca Funeral Home, Westmont Chapel, 1622 Menoher Blvd.

Funeral Service will be held at 11:30 AM on Tuesday, February 4, 2020 at the funeral home. Very Rev. James F. Crookston. Interment, St. John's Cemetery.
