Paul Molchany

Paul  Edward  Molchany, 60, passed away unexpectedly on February 2, 2026. at his residence in Butler, PA.

He was born on June 18, 1965, in Johnstown, PA. Son of the late Edward and Pauline (Sottile) Molchany.

Paul was a friend to many and will be remembered for his sense of humor, his faith, and his willingness to help others. Paul spent most of his life in Johnstown PA, having graduated from Westmont Hilltop High School in 1983. He attended Penn State University and earned his bachelor’s degree in 1988. He stayed close to Penn State, attending football games whenever he could. He was happiest following Penn State and Pittsburgh sports with friends and family.

In addition to his mother, Paul is survived by his brother, Edward (Ed) and wife, Julie (Gormley) Molchany, niece Kate Molchany, and nephews Andrew, Kyle, and Bradford (Brad) Molchany, sons of Mindy (Robinson) Molchany and Paul’s late brother Jacob (Jack) Molchany.

Friends will be received on Saturday February 21, from 10:00 AM until Time of Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM  at Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, 1127 McKinley Ave, Johnstown,  Fr. Father John J. Slovikovski.  

Entombment at Grandview Mausoleum will follow.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Johnstown, PA, in Paul’s memory.
