Pauline Arcurio

Pauline Arcurio, 97, of Johnstown, PA died on February 17, 2023 at UPMC Passavant in Pittsburgh, PA.  Born August 8,1925 in Johnstown, PA, daughter of Giuseppe and Giuseppina Semola Camuti.  Preceded in death by her parents, husband Frank, son Michael, brothers Anthony, Samuel, Charles, James and Albert Camut, and her sisters Christine Paolillo, Rose Pantano, Margaret Camut and Mary Kay Coco.

Pauline is survived by her son Frank and wife Rose Arcurio, daughter Angela and husband Honorable Jerry Garguilo, daughter Josie Catella, son Anthony Arcurio, and daughter Kay Marie and husband Jim Hubal.  She is survived by 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Pauline was the last surviving member of her immediate family.  She was a dedicated and wonderful devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend to many.  

Pauline worked at the Bachelor’s Club in Johnstown, PA and was a homemaker raising her six children.  Pauline was the “Hostess with the Mostest” hosting many holidays and special occasions for family and friends with an open door to her family home, making everyone feel special with a great cup of coffee and a beautiful plate of food. Pauline will be remembered for creating beautiful cookie trays for family weddings.  She was a strong believer of her faith, and was devoted to the Discalced Carmelite Sisters Carmelite Monastery in Loretto, PA. 

Family and friends will be received from 2-8 PM on Wednesday, February 22nd at Frank Duca Funeral Home, Inc. East Hills Chapel and Crematory, 404 Walters Avenue, Johnstown, PA 15904.  Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM Thursday, February 23rd at St. Benedict Catholic Church, Fr. David Peles.  Interment to follow at St. Anthony's Cemetery, Geistown, PA.
