Peter C. Omodio

Peter C. Omodio, 90, of Westmont, died September 16, 2020 in Johnstown, PA. Born October 10, 1929 in Johnstown, son of Peter and Carmella (Guarino) Omodio. 

Preceded in death by his parents, son, Perry Joseph in 2002, sisters, Frances Saccone, and Mary Antinora, brothers, Leonard, Vincent, and Charles Omodio. Survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Lena (Fonzi) Omodio; daughter, Mary Ann (Omodio) wife of John Evanchick; grandchildren, Jonathan married to Katie, and Regina wife of Brian Biddlestone; great grandchildren Ella, Jon Anthony, and Allie Evanchick, Brynn, Gia, and Blake Biddlestone. 

Pete was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Pete was a graduate of Johnstown High School, Class of 1948. He retired from Penn Furniture Company and was an outstanding salesman. He coached Little League Baseball Teams and enjoyed playing golf and tennis. Pete was a active  member of Knight of Columbus and a longtime member of Our Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church, where he was an Usher for many years. He was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, and friend who will be sadly missed. 

Friends and family will be received from 1:00 - 3:00 PM on SUNDAY, September 20, 2020 at FRANK DUCA FUNERAL HOME, WESTMONT CHAPEL, 1622 Menoher Blvd. Johnstown PA 15905. Friends and family are invited to attend a Funeral Mass on MONDAY, September 21, 2020 at 11:30 AM at Our Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church, Very Rev. Mark S. Begly. Entombment, Grandview Mausoleum. Facial coverings and social distancing protocols enforced. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Our Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church, 415 Tioga Street, Johnstown, PA 15905 in Pete's Memory.
