Richard Hayes Barkley, 66, passed away January 2, 2020 at Conemaugh Hospital. He was born July 1, 1953 in Johnstown.

Son of Richard and Joan Barkley (Harshberger). Preceded in death by grandmother, Geraldine Harshberger, infant sister Jeri Lynn Barkley, father and mother-in-law, Roy and Yvonne Melius, brother-in-law, Bud Frederick. Rick is survived in death by wife Kitty (Melius) Barkley, children Richard Barkley III, Cindy (Tim) Ray, Debbie (Brad) Snyder, William (Cortney) Barkley. Grandchildren Sara, Olivia, Bradley, Abby, Sophia and Lydia. Siblings Mike (Sandy) Barkley, Deborah (Gary) Baker, and Barbara (Bob) Brown. In-laws Judy Frederick, Roy (Debbie) Melius, Doug Melius, Lena (Ed) Jefferys and numerous nieces and nephews.

Rick was an Army veteran, worked on the pipeline and over the road truck driver. Rick loved spending time with his children, grandchildren, and animals. He was an avid Penguins fan.

A Celebration of Life service to be determined.
