Richard "Dick" H. Barkley Sr.

Richard "Dick H. Barkley Sr., 86, of Mineral Point, died on November 23, 2022 at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center, Palliative Care, born on July 21, 1936 in East Conemaugh, son of Stanley and Gertrude (Holland) Barkley. 

Preceded in death by his parents, beloved mother-in-law Geraldine Harshberger, infant daughter Jeri Lynn, son Richard H. Barkley Jr., sisters Gail Rokosh, Judy Hinton, Faye Loushe, Janice Gillin, and brother Thomas Barkley. 

Survived by loving wife of 69 years Joan B. (Harshberger), son Michael Barkley (Sandy), daughters Deborah (Gary Baker) and Barbara (Robert Brown Jr.), daughter-in-law Kitty Krupper (Pat), 10 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren, brother David Barkley, and sister Sandy Thomas. 

Dick retired from Bethlehem Steel, Freight Car Division, as a welder. He loved working on cars and painting them. He was an avid race fan, loved riding his motorcycle, and boating with his family. He was a jack of all trades and taught his children to be independent. Dick was artistic and creative and had an immense love for his family. He will be sadly missed but never forgotten. 

At his request, all funeral services will be held privately for the family. Interment, Forest Lawn Cemetery.
