Robert Edgar Weidlein, lovingly known as Uncle Bob, 69, of Rockville, Maryland, passed away on January 28, 2026.
Born on August 24, 1956 in Monterey California, son of James Weidlein and Anna (Swineford) Weidlein.
Preceded in death by his parents; sisters Kathy and Karen Weidlein. He is survived by his brother Kurt Weidlein; sister Kim (Weidlein) McClain and husband Tim. He is lovingly remembered by his daughter, Cheri; nephew, Kurt; niece, Carolyn; and nephew Steven along with extended family and friends who will miss his steady presence and kind heart.
Bob lived a life defined by quiet strength, loyalty, and a deep love for his family. He proudly served in the United States Navy, carrying that sense of discipline and dedication with him throughout his life. Following his military service, he built a career as a manager with Tires Plus, where he was known as dependable, hardworking, and someone you could always count on.
To those who knew him best, Bob was steady, kind, and genuine — the kind of person who didn’t need to say much to make you feel supported. As “Uncle Bob,” he held a special place in the hearts of his family, offering a calm presence, a dry sense of humor, and a quiet way of showing he cared.
He found joy in the simple things — a day out on the golf course, time spent with loved ones, and especially the annual family beach vacations that became a treasured tradition. Those trips were filled with laughter, connection, and moments that will be remembered for years to come.
Uncle Bob leaves behind a legacy of love, consistency, and quiet devotion — the kind that stays with you long after he’s gone.
Family and friends will gather on Saturday July 25, 2026 from 12 pm. to 2 pm at the Frank Duca Funeral Home, Westmont.
