Robert "Bob" J. Hovanec

Robert J. "Bob  Hovanec, 67 of Westmont, died December 6, 2022, at Cambria Care Center, Ebensburg. Born on May 11, 1955, in Johnstown, son of the late Joseph and Christina (Santichen) Hovanec, and brother of the late Joe Hovanec.

Survived by his son Scooter Hovanec, daughter Kira Moon married to son-in-law Riley Moon, brother Frank Hovanec, sister Mary Kay Voytko, nieces, nephews, wife Patricia (Hardy), step daughter Melissa married to Tom Cvitkovic, step son John Kerr, and 1st wife Barbara, mother of Scooter and Kira.

He was a graduate of Johnstown Vo-Tech. Bob was Co-Owner of "Big City Signs" since 1984. He was a very talented and creative artist and designer, and above all, a friend to everyone. He loved riding his motorcycle, eating ice cream and making the world a little brighter.

Bob was a loving father, brother, husband and friend who will be very sadly missed, but never forgotten.

Friends received 3 to 5 PM on Friday, December 9th, 2022, at Frank Duca Funeral Home, Westmont Chapel, 1622 Menoher Blvd. Johnstown PA 15905. Private entombment at Grandview Mausoleum.
