Rose Mirabile, 100 years old, died on February 28, 2022 at home. Born on October 9, 1921 in Johnstown, daughter of Joseph and Angeline (Addeo) Lecci.
Preceded in death by her parents, her husband Joseph who died in 1978, daughter Angeline Mirabile, brother Joseph Latch and his wife Mamie, and Donald Lecci.
Survived by loving children Joann (James Reiser); James Mirabile; Sandra (Bob Dunnmyer); Joseph (Roxanne Houser); Barbara (Jeff Utnik); Michael (Shelly Thomas); 13 grandchildren, James, Dawn, Julie, Douglas, Lori, Kristy, Jody, Joseph, Melissa, Lindsay, Josh, Tyler, Mitchell; 16 great-grandchildren; brother Jeno Lecci (Ann); sister-in-law Jean Lecci. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Rose was a 1939 graduate of Johnstown High School. She loved to cook and was known for making homemade bread every week. She was a big sports fan, especially of the Boston Celtics, enjoyed playing the lottery, and scratch off tickets.
She was a member of the Sons of Italy and a lifetime member of St. Clare of Assisi Parish, formerly St. Anthony, where friends and family are invited to a Funeral Mass on Friday, March 4, 2022 at 12 Noon. Fr. George Gulash.
Friends received from 4-8 PM on Thursday at Frank Duca Funeral Home, Westmont Chapel, 1622 Menoher Blvd. Johnstown PA 15905. Interment, St. Anthony Cemetery.
