Sara G. Shahade

Sara G. Shahade, 97, of Westmont, passed away on April 03, 2025. Sara was born April 5, 1927 in Johnstown, PA. Daughter of Alexander and Elizabeth (Heider) Shahade. Preceded in death by her parents, her brothers, Robert (Ruth Jabbour) and Theodore (Virginia) Shahade; her sisters, Mary Alvanette (Frederick) Kennan and Genevieve (George) Milkie; and sister in law, Nancy. Sara is the last remaining member of her immediate family. Survived and loved by many nieces and nephews.

Sara worked at the US Pentagon for 30 years, followed by a career in real estate. She retired back to her hometown of Johnstown.

Family and friends will be received Monday April 7, 2025 at St. Mary Antiochian Orthodox Church, 111 Alberta Ave., Johnstown from 10:00 AM until time of service at 11:00 AM, the Very Rev. Fr. Donald E. Shadid, D.min., officiating. Interment to follow at Grandview Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Mary Special Project Fund.
