Sheila V. Howard, 78, of Johnstown Pennsylvania, passed away on June 8, 2026 in Johnstown. She was born March 22, 1948 in Johnstown, the daughter of Dorothy Roberts.
Preceded in death by her mother, and brother Robert.
Survived by her children: Alan Naugle married to Tina and Shannon married to James Miller; her grandchildren: James, Jesse, Matthew, Jayme and Kyle; her brothers and sisters: Kathie m/t Sam Gallagher, Debbie Hall, Cheryl Smith, Terry m/t Karen Johnson, and Valerie Thomas; also survived by many nieces and nephews, and close beloved friend, Vinny Fish.
Sheila worked hard throughout her life, showed up for the people she loved in her own way, and shrugged it off when things were difficult.
She showed her love not always in words, but in the ways that stay with you, the smell of something good coming from her kitchen, and the holidays she made feel abundant. She was a gifted baker and cook, who took pride in feeding the people she loved.
As the years went on, family gatherings became her greatest joy. A picnic, a party, a holiday table surrounded by the people she loved, those were the moments that lit her up. She had a special gift for seeing and appreciating the uniqueness in each of her grandchildren, and those relationships brought out some of her warmest and most joyful moments. She cherished time spent with the “old ladies” playing games, making crafts and just simply being together. She crocheted and loved to read, a woman who kept her hands and her mind busy.
Though her path through life was not always easy, Sheila leaves behind people who loved her deeply, memories worth holding onto, and a warmth that will not be forgotten.
Private funeral arrangements entrusted to Frank Duca Funeral Home, Westmont Chapel, 1622 Menoher Blvd.
