Shelby Libengood Obituary

Shelby J. Libengood, 73, of Upper Yoder, died peacefully at home on December 11, 2020. Born on January 27, 1947 in Sligo, PA, daughter of Allen and Betty Mae (Taylor) Shoup.

Preceded in death by parents. Survived by loving husband James, daughter Shanna (Eric) Brown, and grandchildren Patrick and Alivia. Survived by sisters Debbie (Crist) Summerville of Knox, Shirley Miller of New Bethlehem, and nephews Cody, Cristian, and Corbin Summerville.

Shelby was a 1969 Graduate of Conemaugh School of Nursing. Most of Shelby’s 40-year career as an RN was spent at Conemaugh Hospital in the PACU. Shelby loved following the activities of the grandchildren, reading, word search puzzles, and the occasional outing with her best friend Debbie Richards. Shelby will be greatly missed by family and friends.
