Shirley A. Walling

Shirley A. Walling, 85, of Westmont, died on March 31, 2022 at home. Born on August 1, 1936 in Cleveland OH, daughter of John and Helen (Wess) Walz.

Preceded in death by her parents, beloved husband Charles and daughter Marsha Walling, brothers Jack, Gary, and John Walz, sister Beverly Showaltee, and best friend Hope Furfari.

Shirley was the last surviving member of her family.

Survived by Son Ron Walling and fiancé Nancy Vargo, of OH, cousin Chuck Walling and his wife Lou, special friend Tom Furfari, and friends Myrna Rudnik, Helen Morris, uncle Dan Pringle, niece Donna Tauber, cousin Becky Siwy.

Shirley graduated from Johnstown High School. She worked at Penn Traffic, Glosser Brothers, and retired from McCory's Store as a cashier. She loved to bowl and belonged to Westmont Seniors Club, enjoyed playing cards and attending bingo. Shirley was a member of West Hills Community Church.

Friends received from 12 Noon until 2 PM on Tuesday, April 5, 2022, at the Frank Duca Funeral Home, Westmont Chapel, 1622 Menoher Blvd. Johnstown PA 15905.

Funeral service will begin at 2 PM at the funeral home, Pastor David Streets. Interment, Grandview Cemetery.
