Suellen “Sue” Marie (Euen) Olenik

Suellen “Sue” Marie (Euen) Olenik, 75, of Johnstown, passed away on January 26, 2022 at home surrounded by her children. Born September 18, 1946 in Johnstown, daughter of Gerald “Jerry” Euen and Margaret “Peggy” (Stevenson) Euen.

Preceded in death by her parents Gerald and Margaret (Stevenson) Euen, brother Thomas Euen, and sister Patricia (Euen) Stewart.

Survived by children, Joelle (Olenik), wife of Joey Ridgeway, Adam Olenik and his wife Chandra Gilmore, and Eden (Olenik), wife of Steve Stemmerich; grandchildren Gavin and Noah Ridgeway; brother Robert “Bobby” Euen (Sharlene); sister-in-law Robin Euen; nephews Robert Euen (Tracy), Todd Euen (Amy), Craig Euen (Erin), Brent Euen (Mandy); nieces Shawn (Euen) Brenneman and Bonnie Morgan. Also survived by numerous grandnieces and grandnephews.

Suellen was a 1964 graduate of Johnstown High School and a graduate of Rowe Business School. She was a licensed cosmetologist and began her long career as a beautician by opening her own business, Sue’s Fairfield Beauty Shop, in the late 1960’s. Suellen’s greatest treasure in life was her family, especially her children and grandchildren. She loved spending time with her brothers, sister, parents, and their families. Suellen was a kind, loving soul and she will be greatly missed by those who loved her.

Friends and family are invited to attend a Funeral Mass for Suellen on Saturday, January 29, 2022 at 11:00 AM at St. Clement’s Church. Father William Rosenbaum. Interment to follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery. There will be no public viewing.
