Susan R. Ketchum, 54 of Johnstown went to be with the Lord September 18, 2021. She was born October 15, 1966 in Port Jefferson, New York, daughter of Edward and Janice (Yabroudi) Riddle.
Preceded in death by her parents; husband, James Ketchum (2016); mother-in-law, Wilhelmina; and brother, Edward Riddle.
Survived by her children: Justin Ketchum married to Laura Canal-Ketchum, Connor Ketchum, Josh Ketchum married to Erin, and Courtney Haas married to Christopher; her grandchildren: Evelyn and Claire Ketchum, and Elijah Haas; her siblings: Arleen, Karen, Michael, Linda, Debbie, Lisa, Stephen, Alex, Debbie Nickels, and their spouses; her Godchildren, Salvatore Castiglione and Julia Riddle; Also, numerous nieces and nephews.
Susan grew up in Smithtown, Long Island. She worked as an LPN at Tampa General Hospital where she met her husband, James. Together they began raising a family in Springhill, Florida before making Johnstown their home. Susan was a very active member at Our Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church. She volunteered in multiple ministries at OMOS, including In-home ministry. In addition, she was passionate and active in her community, she enjoyed helping residents at McCullough Place. She loved her family and could always be found supporting and cheering on her children. Susan always wanted to make sure everyone in her life knew they were loved.
The family invites you to celebrate Susan’s life on Friday, September 24th, 2021. Family and friends will be received from 11:00 AM until her funeral mass at Noon at Our Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church, 415 Tioga Street, Johnstown, Father Mark S. Begly officiating.
