Theresa J. Knupp

Theresa J. Knupp "Baba", 79, of Upper Yoder, died unexpectedly on January 29, 2024 at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center. Born on July 19, 1944 in Johnstown, daughter of the late Joseph and Julia (Golian) Cernak. 
 
Survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Paul L. Knupp; loving children, Deborah wife of David Gully, of Dunlo, Paul M. married to Donna (Henderson), of Johnstown, and Lori wife of Mark Ray, of Johnstown; grandchildren Patrick Gully and friends Paige and Ari, Julia Gully and fiance Michael Weinzierl, Hayley Knupp and friend Dylan Keer, Madison Knupp, Alex, David, and Justin Ray; sisters Marjorie Edelen (Walter), Joyce Barone, Dorothy Peden (Gerald), Mary Lou Murgas (Raymond), Julia Cernak. 
 
Theresa was a 1962 graduate of Ferndale High School. She worked at Acme Markets, Quaker Sales, Thackray Supply, Laurel Holdings (Sunburst Turf Solutions). She enjoyed bird watching, especially her hummingbirds, and gardening. She was a very talented problem solver. Theresa was the most loving "Baba" to her 7 beautiful grandchildren and loved to attend their activities and sporting events. Often attending multiple events in a day, she was known in the community as the unofficial scorekeeper. You could always count on her and Pop Pop in the stands. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister who will be sadly missed.
 
Friends received from 4-7 PM on Friday, February 2, 2024 at Frank Duca Funeral Home, Westmont Chapel, 1622 Menoher Blvd. Johnstown PA 15905. Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday at St. Clement Church. Fr. William Rosenbaum. Entombment, Grandview Mausoleum.
