Walter "Bill" W. Steeley, 72, of Stonycreek Township, died after a brief illness on July 16, 2021 at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center.
Born on March 5, 1949 in Windber, son of Walter I. Steeley and Anna Grace (Wilson).
Preceded in death by his parents, sister Beverly A. Wissinger, niece Sandra (Wissinger) Blackner, and faithful pheasant hunting companion, Lucy.
Survived by his loving wife of 46 years Barbara (Albert), and son Andrew Steeley, grandchildren Hannah and Samuel Steeley, Charlottesville, VA, sisters-in-law Janet Keiple and family and Suzanne Cauffiel and family, and angel canine Emma. Also survived by a niece and nephews.
Bill was a 1968 graduate of Windber Area High School. He worked for many years in manufacturing and retired from Martin Baker America as an industrial painter. He loved to pheasant hunt with his beloved Lucy, and was a talented woodsman and gunsmith.
He was also a member of Paint Twp. Sportsman’s Club and longtime member of Belmont United Methodist Church. He was a man of good integrity and values holding always to a strong perseverance, and now has gone safely Home. He will be greatly missed.
At Bill's request, all services will be private. A family gathering in memory of his life will be held at later date.
