William Godish Obituary

William B. Godish, 79, Johnstown, went to be with the Lord, September 30, 2021. Born March 2, 1942 in Johnstown, son of Stanley and Jane (Kosciuch) Godish. Preceded in death by parents, sister Marcia, brother Richard and brother-in-law Jim Wilson.

Survived by brothers and sisters Edward (Chickie), Patricia Hammer, John, Mary Ann Wilson, Stanley (Susan), Veronica (Tom) Birk, Francis (Hope), Kathleen (Tom) Roberts, Dolores (David) Karcher, and Paul (Barbara), numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.

Bill was a 1962 graduate of Johnstown Catholic High. He served in the US Navy, retired from Conemaugh Hospital after 40 years, and spent his time hunting, fishing, golfing, and cheering on the Steelers. He was also active in the community, particularly the pro-life movement.

Friends will be received from 4-7 PM on Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at Frank Duca Funeral Home, Westmont Chapel, 1622 Menoher Blvd. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Fr. Matthew Baum. Interment, Grandview Cemetery.
