William Rohal

William Rohal, 95, of Upper Yoder Township, died on March 19, 2021 at home. Born on February 17, 1926 in Johnstown, son of Alex and Mary (Kanuch) Rohal.

Preceded in death by his parents; wife Delores Rohal; brother Joseph; sisters Helen Berkebile and Margaret Rohal; nephew Jim Rohal.

Survived by children; William Francis Rohal II, of Hemet CA; Richard K. Rohal, married to Trude (Lenner), of Pipersville; Mark A. Rohal, married to Dora (McCartney), of Newtown; grandchildren William F. III, Rebecca A. Rohal and Nicholas A.; great-granddaughter Gracie Lynn Hart, great-grandsons William Rohal IV and Axl W. Yecoshenko; nephew Bob Berkebile, and wife Pat. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Bill was a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh and was employed by the Bureau of Vocational Rehabilitation. He served in the US Army during WWII in the Philippine Islands and Australia. He also served as a Eucharistic Minister at Our Mother of Sorrows Church.

He served at the altar, families in their homes, and patients in the hospital. For several years he volunteered at the St. Vincent De Paul Society.

He was an avid reader, golfer, walker, and enjoyed music, the earth, and loved his wife and family. Bill was also proud of the families 5 Holes in One.

Bill was very thankful for his great neighbors, Mel and Ginny.

Friends and family are invited to attend a Funeral Service on Saturday, March 27, 2021 at 10:00 AM at  Frank Duca Funeral Home, Westmont Chapel, 1622 Menoher Blvd. Very Rev. Mark S. Begly. Interment, Grandview Cemetery, where a military ritual will be conducted by VFW Post 155.
