William "Bill" A. Karas

William A. "Bill" Karas, 78, of Westmont died May 21, 2025 at Memorial Medical Center, Johnstown. 

He was born September 6, 1946 in Johnstown, PA, son of Albert and Margaret (Bulik) Karas. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, and faithful companion, Miss Kitty.

Bill is survived by his devoted and loving wife, Alexandria  " Sandy" (Zemba); his brothers-in-law, Len Zemba (Diana) and Larry Zemba; his sister-in-law, Joanne Carbaugh; his nephew, Jim Carbaugh (Cheryl); his niece, Michele Carbaugh; his great nieces: Megan, Erin, Addison; and his great nephew, Damian Carbaugh.

Bill was a 1964 Graduate of Johnstown Catholic High School. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus (St. Andrews), BPOE 175, Johnstown Post Card Club, and Resurrection Roman Catholic Parish.

He enjoyed Lionel trains and golfing. Bill was formerly employed at Suppes Ford, US Steel, and Conemaugh Hospital in medical records.
